Tony Diepenbrock has been in patent practice at law firms in Silicon Valley since 1999. His responsibilities have included all aspects of patent prosecution work including office actions and new applications, and a diverse range of written non-infringement and invalidity opinions. He has worked on complex matters involving switching power supplies.  He has authored various licensing agreements involving software and software platforms. In past positions he has also exhibited strategic planning skills and industry expertise in proficiently steering case projects from initiation and discovery through court trial, with an emphasis on patent prosecution and patent opinion work.  He has applied case management and negotiation abilities in designing legal strategies and resolving cases through settlement and trials. These projects included conducting non-infringement and invalidity reviews and evaluations of the patents at issue; consulting on appeal and authored portions of the post hearing and appellate briefs; and contributing to IP due diligence for sale of assets between two corporate entities in two different cases. Formerly he served as Intellectual Property Manager for Rambus, and Senior Staff Architect for Intel. Tony holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and both a B.S.E.E. and C. S., cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Engineering. He also completed Master’s Program Courses at Santa Clara in Advanced Computer Architecture, MOS Circuit Design, Performance Analysis, and Engineering Project Management. He is a Member of Tau Beta Pi. He is admitted to practice as an attorney in the State of California and is admitted to practice before the USPTO as an Attorney.
